In these times of economic stress and envioronmental concerns, knowing a home’s walkability score is essential.
Walkability is a relatively new term the describes the idea of being able to walk to local businesses, parks, schools, work, etc. for health, environment and economic concerns. Imagine burning calories as you walked to the grocery store and not having to pay for gas to get to work. This idea is especially attractive in urban communities where traffic is a nightmare.
Though Lake Norman has a ways to go to be considered “walkable”, Charlotte was ranked 38th nationally!

A dollhouse has to be every REALTOR’s childhood toy. Staging, after all, begins at a young age. I have a friend whose child has a Barbie Dreamhouse that she regularly stages with the Barbies as props. That’s it…no playing with the Barbies, just staging the rooms. She is going to be on my team when she turns 18.
I’m in the process of making cookbooks for customers of some shared recipes and some of my own tried and true family favorites. I used to send in recipes to magazines (Southern Living, Taste of Home, Cooking Light, etc.) to try to win contest, or just be published. I used to have considerably more time on my hands. I am busier now, but still love to cook. Apparently, some of those recipes made it, and then trickled onto the web, because many of these are not put on these sites my me!
Here’s a list of the ones I found. I must have tried them all (if I sent them to the magazine).
