What's Cooking, Lake Norman?

{October 10, 2008}   Breast Cancer Awareness

Because my grandmother died with breast cancer, this is a topic close to my heart.  Every woman should perform self exams!  Visit the official site for anything you need to know.  If you’d like to read the story of a local woman who dealt with breast cancer, you can do so here.  If you, or someone you love is dealing with cancer, here are a few support groups in the area.

Things you can do to support Susan G. Komen:

Tennis Tournament in Charlotte:  Pacific Life Tri-Level Championship

During Oct. 12 – 14, eeZ Fusion and Sushi, located at 16925 Birkdale Commons Pkwy., Suite F, in Huntersville, will be donating 20 percent of patrons’ tabs to the Susan G. Komen three-day walking event. To participate in this donation, patrons will have to provide their server the special flyer that was given out prior to the event (and is included in Lake Norman Living on page 11).

Like hot dogs?  Have one at Big League Hot Dogs and make a donation while you are munching.
